River Blues

Cross Streets of Dorothy and Rockland Avenue in Rocky River, Ohio (hence River in title!). I painted this from life, looking outside my second floor window. I first painted a 6x6 study and then this larger and more horizontal format. I used a limited palette of prussian blue, venetian red, cad yellow lemon, white, and a little black to knock down saturation in the color at times. We expect snow in NE Ohio in January, but we have had more than usual on the west side of Cleveland.
