This familiar road which I have driven many times appeared "new" to my eye as I saw it on this morning. The warmth of the morning light contrasted with the cool shadows cast by the rolling hills, and the muted winter hues, all grabbed my attention. I could already "see" the finished painting in my mind's eye, which makes for inspirational painting.
