Pink Poppies: Boscobel

I painted this outside last summer in the heritage garden of a non-profit community property along the Hudson River in Hudson Valley, NY, called Boscobel. I love spending time in that special garden and these lovely tall pinkish poppies spoke to me. I've made several studies of them and this is my favorite painting of the poppies. Ink under sketch rather than pencil and watercolor winsor & newton paints.
