Silent

I loved the light gleaming on this snowy bush after a recent snowstorm. The contrast of the snow and the dark foliage and the shadows was striking. I'm always taken by the silence after a fresh snow so I titled this piece "Silent" to reflect the feeling. There's a wonderful rhythm in the image that helped add to the dynamic composition with loads of great angles in a square format. And, negative painting on this one was a blast to paint!
