Essex In The Afternoon

This afternoon painting was done at the Greenbelt, Essex county land trust in Essex, Massachusetts. Morning, afternoon, or early evening are glorious with the changing tides and rising and setting of the sun. There is so much atmosphere and clean air and an array of changing colors. One can often observe turtles nesting, osprey, owls, and other beautiful creatures.
