Tranquility

This scene had so much of everything I love, pine trees, rushing river, and foggy mist, I had to paint it. I wanted to focus on composition and perspective, keeping the eye in and moving around the scene and making things fall back into the distance by layering foreground over middle over background. It is a 9x12 oil piece on linen board.
