This is an oil painting on board with Belgian Linen. I recently spent 3 days in my self built out van at Spring Creek Basin, CO observing, sketching and photographing the wild horses there. This moment will be imprinted in my mind forever as one of the stallions emerged over this hill with the light bouncing off the high desert all around him.
