These bluebells are from Jenkinstown wood in Kilkenny, Ireland, where a flood of bluebells happen every Spring.
In a vase they look very pretty but I have a constant battle with traditional thinking of things being pretty…..just for the sake of it.
This is a still from life….. but life is never still, or should not be seen that way.
So to the top floor I went with my vase and water and flowers. I let the sun in and around the bluebells and watched their shadow stretch and fall behind them.
Then I opened the door and let the shadow ease it self out to where ever it wanted to go
The traditional still life can be rather stale but a still from life can be something very different.
