Dingle Harbor

The clouds in this painting were captured “en plein air” on about 4 or 5 12x16 panels, and used as my studies in this larger creation. This harbor scene is from Dingle Ireland, and one of the few “landscapes” I have ever created from photo reference. So basically this entire creation is the results of my passion for plein air creations! AND never again would I choose to do a harbor scene, with all these boats and technically “have to” subjects! I love the loose brush work that plein air creates, and hoped to capture this energy even with these man-made items!!
